This safari takes you to the mighty Murchison Falls. Expect big five sighting but the highlight is the boat trip to base of the falls and a hike (if you like) to the top of the falls. On arrival at the AirportOn arrival at the Airport, you will be picked up and then be transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Thereafter, you will be left to rest at own luxury.
Drive to Murchison Falls National Park,Wake up very early in the morning for an early breakfast & then at 08:00hrs drive to Murchison Falls National Park, the home of vast tropical forest habitats. Make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Nakitoma and then have lunch at Kabalegas Dinner. After this visit, you will proceed to the Murchison Falls National Park, where you will be able to view the top of the falls i.e. sightseeing; Murchison Falls is on the Nile, the longest river in the world. With 7metres wide & 43metres deep, the rapid water is forced through a narrow gap in the rock before ferociously plunging down. After this, you will continue on, take a ferry across to your Lodge as you take in more wildlife views enroute.
Early Morning we will report to the game ranger’s station for a short briefingEarly Morning we will report to the game ranger’s station for a short briefing, and then go for game drive for about 3-4hrs. On the Northern bank, your guide will help you spot some of “the Big Five” i.e. Elephants, Cape Buffaloes, Lions & Hippopotamus among others. You will also be able to view other wildlife such as the Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, Oribi, bushbucks, bohor reed bucks, hyenas, & on rare cases Leopards. Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you shall go for a boat trip on the Nile delta; it’s a wonderful activity and a very good opportunity to bird watchers as so many birds will be sighted while on the 3 hours launch cruise. Come back & relax at your own leisure till evening
Drive back to KampalaAfter an early morning breakfast, with a parked lunch that you will have on your way back to Kampala, you will take the southern sector of the park to see the beautiful Rabongo Forest or Kaniyo Pabidi, home to several families of chimpanzees & interact with local communities to discover the livelihood of the local people and thereafter, we will proceed to Kampala arriving early evening. Your safari guide will drop you off to your hotel or for your Out Bound flight back home.
